Why I Love Rancho

My first experience at "The Ranch" — as we affectionately call the resort — was in April 2010 when we pulled up to the front entrance. My reaction? OMG! This place was absolutely gorgeous — from the stunning landscaping to the spacious, well-maintained lots. My husband and I had stayed in many RV resorts over the years, but none as beautiful as Rancho California RV Resort.

As we arrived, a friendly security guard greeted us and directed us to the Real Estate Office to inquire about rentals and sales. When we walked through the doors, a bubbly lady with a big smile welcomed us warmly. She offered us a tour and gave us a full overview of what the resort had to offer. She happened to be a renter herself and was so enthusiastic, it was contagious!

After the tour, we decided to rent a lot that very same day! Before we even had a chance to unhook our tow car, friendly neighbors were already outside helping us back in. One of those neighbors is still one of my very best friends today. She quickly told me all about the activities at the resort and encouraged me to get involved. That moment sparked my ongoing passion for volunteering and organizing HOA activities — which has been one of the most rewarding parts of my time here!

But perhaps the most exciting part of life at the resort is the people. The energy, warmth, and friendliness of the owners and renters were impossible to resist. We toured the resort, saw all the incredible amenities — the beautiful golf course, five swimming pools, six tennis and pickleball courts, a charming café and market, and endless activities — and just had to buy a lot. Everyone we met shared a common love of RVing and a true sense of community.

We all feel like we're part of one big family here. Jump into your golf cart with a glass of wine, take a leisurely ride around the resort, and you're bound to bump into others doing the same. Before you know it, you're deep in conversation in the middle of the street — and just like that, you've got yourself a party!

There are so many reasons why we love living at Rancho California RV Resort! One of our favorites is the "Village Tram" — a charming touch that adds to the unique character of the Ranch. Of course, it's undeniably beautiful here, but the real beauty lies in the people who call this place home.

Some stay longer than others, but each person brings a sense of joy and community whenever they're here. We've developed a true kinship with many of our neighbors, thanks to the close-knit nature of the resort. We share the roads, the golf course, the open spaces, and enjoy the many amenities like the pools and tennis courts together.

There's a genuine neighborly spirit here. Whether it's gathering for bingo, dances, dinners, or chapel services — there's a friendliness that's hard to find elsewhere. We wave, we smile, and we say "Howdy!" a lot. These are just a few of the many reasons we proudly call this wonderful place home.

After a 25,000-mile RV adventure around the good ol' USA, we discovered The Ranch in January 2012 and bought Lot 112 the very next month.

After 2.5 wonderful years, we hit the road again — itchy feet! But the call of Rancho California RV Resort brought us back in early 2019, when we happily purchased Lot 502.

I'm a firm believer that "a picture is worth a thousand words." And here, the pictures speak for themselves: Breathtaking sunsets. Crystal-clear night skies. A fun, challenging golf course. And most importantly — a community of fellow adventurers who, like us, found the perfect home base. And this is where we can truly say… We belong.

Rancho California RV Resort is more than just a place to live — it's a sanctuary of comfort, peace, and meaningful connection.

It stands as a testament not only to the stunning surroundings and abundant amenities — like the pools, pickleball courts, and golf course — but also to the truly extraordinary people who make this community so special.

Here, even in the face of adversity, passion can be reignited, purpose rediscovered, and a deep sense of belonging allowed to flourish. This incredible community welcomed someone who arrived knowing no one and stood by me through the unimaginable. It continues to be a powerful source of strength, healing, and joy — making this far more than just a place to live. It's home.

Mary and I bought our lot here at RCRVR mainly because of the serenity and the incredible friendliness of the people. Everyone was so welcoming — genuinely happy — and there was always something fun happening every weekend.

We especially enjoy the evening "booze cruises," riding around in our golf cart and stopping in to share a glass of wine with our many friends. Those friends? They've become like family to us.

Every time I make that right turn off Highway 79 and head toward the resort, I'm reminded of the magic that awaits — especially for first-time visitors.

The winding road, with no flashy signs to guide you, just a simple chalk-white painted line, sets the stage for what's to come. Then, you make that major right turn — and suddenly, the lights begin to appear. That's when the surprise really begins to unfold.

Trees are lit, the guard shack glows brightly, and you start to sense the uniqueness of Rancho California RV Resort. The security guard greets you with a smile, the large gate opens, and you drive in — experiencing the resort for the very first time.

As you slowly make your way through, you're mesmerized by the incredible build-outs on each lot. You can't help but wonder what's behind each one. Eventually, you find your lot, pull in, and get set up.

It's nighttime now — quiet, peaceful. The stars shine above, the cool evening air surrounds you… and just like that, you're in love. This is Rancho California RV Resort.
